Douglas A. Wright is a speechwriter, journalist, and short story writer living in Brooklyn, NY. He is the former founding/fiction editor of Exit Strata, a literary arts magazine. His fiction has been supported by the Bread Loaf Writers Conference and Tin House Summer Workshop. His stories have appeared in Jabberwock Review, Oyster River Pages, The Offbeat, Popular Science, Conde Nast Traveler, NBC News, and the American Journal among others.
Douglas began his career as a small-town New England reporter, covering rural life in the Maine woods. For the past fifteen years, he has worked in the NYC media industry as a professional writer, travel editor for Conde Nast, creative director, and speechwriter. He is currently a Fiction & Screenwriting MFA candidate at Queens University of Charlotte.
